What inspired you to start a business? Helping people was the main inspiration behind Scribendi.com. I designed the business and web site so that writers of all levels, and from all different backgrounds, could access professional, affordable editing services quickly and conveniently. I truly believe that quality revision services directly contribute not just to the success of any one project, but also to the success of an individual as a whole. What would you say contributes to your success? The good people we have on staff. That is absolutely the number one thing you need to have right in an organization – getting the right people in the right job.
What advice would you give an aspiring entrepreneur? Make sure you set yourself some short-, medium-, and long-term goals, and make a point of reviewing these goals frequently – these are your personal “key performance indicators.” Are you hitting the mark? Do you need to up the tempo? Or have you veered off in an entirely different direction? It’s easy to get stuck in the day to day stuff and forget to look up occasionally.
