Tell us about yourself and your business: I am a writer, publisher and personal growth consultant. I produce books, CDs, trainings and a radio show to help people reach their goals and achieve their unlimited possibilities. My particular focus is people of African heritage internationally.

I have produced two books, Success Strategies for Black People and Black Success Stories, as well as ebooks such as What They Don’t Want Us to Know and the free More Black Success ebooks. I am now working on a series of relationship books.

Plus healing CDs Radiant Health and Healing, Detox Your Body and the new Deep Healing CD.

What inspired you to start a business? Wanting to help people grow and develop. I had already been teaching personal development courses for many years. I wanted to reach more Black people and support people who really needed my help.

Share one business goal: My new radio show (starting in May) will aim to reach a minimum of 20,000 people. I will be co-presenting the show with Joan Gosier of HBCU Kidz.

What would you say contributes to your success? Believing in myself and in what I have to offer, and coming from the heart. It’s also very important to be willing to learn and grow, and even change direction if necessary.

What advice would you give an aspiring entrepreneur? Find other people who are offering something similar to you and/or who share your core values, and partner with them. Don’t see them as competitors, see them as potential partners. And focus on how your work can help others. Plus, writing articles is a highly effective way to publicize your business.
