Lastly, we offer our signature Core Collection. This accessory is set up to give companies and organizations a more vivid look at what their employees, or volunteers would like to see in order to help make their companies grow more dynamically. They are also able to share what special events they would like to be a part of.

It’s an outstanding way to retain those individuals while at the same time grabbing insight from their point of view. Our website is set up just as though it were an actual boutique with different departments. We even have a Blog Department too!

It keeps our clients and future clients up to date on some important event knowledge that they may have forgotten or needed to know. A Preferred Vendor Department is currently under construction. We are thrilled at the vendors that will gain advertisement opportunities while grabbing exposure to a broader customer base.

What inspired you to start a business? What inspired me to start my own business was the fact that since I was age 5,  my mother Kathy, owned her own Event Planning company called Creative Celebrations.

I was able to see first hand all of what she put into making her business a success. Back then technology wasn’t as popular as it is now, so she gained the bulk of her work from word of mouth and by physically writing letters.

I was able to take those old business practices and put some of them to work for me. Being more personable and not relying on the phone or email as my only source of communication with the client. Seeing people in person allows for a greater business relationship to be built.

After having my daughter in 2007, I knew that life events would soon be approaching for her. After receiving rave reviews from family and friends that attended her baby dedication ceremony, I knew that I had soaked up a good amount of my mothers planning characteristics for over 20 years and was able to paint it into a bigger picture for myself.

I have been able to continue planning not only her birthdays and such, but also church events and parties of many kinds for Splendid Events Project by Jeanna. My daughter was also a huge inspiration for me, because I knew that I would want to pass down my business to her.

What is your favorite quote or saying? My favorite saying is: You Go No Place By Accident. (Pastor at my church says that at the end of each of his sermons)

What is one business goal for this year? One business goal that I plan to achieve this year is to purchase more decorative items (centerpieces, dining ware, etc.) to furnish my business. I can utilize these pieces at different events and also offer them for rentals.

What would you say contributes to your success? What I would say that has contributed to my business success, is the motivation that God gives me everyday to stay on my toes, be on the edge of my seat with thinking creatively and also being willing to learn from others. One can never learn too much about their craft.

What advice would you give an aspiring entrepreneur? The advice that I would like to offer to aspiring entrepreneurs looking to branch out, is to stick with what your passion is. Don’t try to do a business just because it may be popular or driven to make a lot of money. As we all know, those that are most happy are the ones that do their passion.

Find out what your gifts and talents are and build off of that. Look up to women that you find inspiring daily (ex. Oprah). Listen to those that give you kudos in a certain areas all of the time, it simply means it is more work there for you to do.

Be humble and realize that not everyone may get to where you are. Help those that need a bigger vision, a pat on the back or a kind word. Understand the difference between constructive criticism and blatant belittling.

Encourage yourself daily, one step closer to your dream is one step further from where you were, gain so much speed that it will take you too long to go back, even if you wanted to. If you’re a mom think about the future and legacy you want to leave behind for your own children. Pray about everything you can think of, so when it comes back to you, it will be confirmation that it’s what God wants you to do.

Are there any projects you are currently working on? I am currently in the process of planning a wedding this summer. This particular bride lives a Green life style so finding creative ways to reduce her wedding carbon foot print is amazing yet knowledgeable.
