By CEOMamma, on March 22nd, 2011% Are your actions aligned with the vision and direction you need to go in order to achieve your greatest potential? Are you moving forward toward your dreams?
These are the questions I ask myself at the times I’m feeling “out of focus” and not quit myself. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who feels all over the place every once in a while due to the everyday demands of life.
We all go through our “stuff” and trust me, being a super busy work at home mom of six…I’m no stranger to burnout.

Character is a key ingredient in the success of a business owner. In fact, a man’s character will affect all aspects of operating a business including: being honest on tax returns, showing integrity in business deals, being loyal to customers and having the courage to persevere in hard times.
In the Book Character Matters, the author, Mark Rutland (President of Oral Roberts University) wrote:
“Character takes you through a refiner’s fire of true stories and time-tested scriptures designed to open your spirit.”
Rutland also describes nine essential traits you need to succeed in his book and they are as follows: courage, loyalty, diligence, modesty, frugality, honesty, meekness, reverence and gratitude.

As your business grows, your ability to lead is vital to the success of your company. Moreover, your leadership skills will affect how far your business will go and your leadership skills will also affect those individuals that are following your leadership.
A Leadership Story
In 2002, I decided to move my childcare business from my home into a commercial location. I was so excited, because I was able to care for more children and my business was no longer in my home. The planning process went very well; I planned my first open house, bought new equipment and I hired staff for the facility. Several months into operating the facility, I discovered that I was struggling with leading my staff.

By CEOMamma, on February 2nd, 2011% It’s income tax time once again and many of us are expecting to receive a well needed refund from the government. When that hefty check comes, most people intend to play “catch up” on outstanding bills while others enjoy a little self indulgence and run out to purchase the latest gadget or high end item they’ve been dreaming of.
And why wouldn’t you?
Most people feel they deserve to spend that hard earned money on themselves because they worked hard for it….right? Unfortunately however, giving in to these desires more often than not, brings us right back to where we started…BROKE!

By CEOMamma, on January 1st, 2011% Happy New Years!
It’s 2011, day one…a new beginning and fresh start for your business! As you begin implementing your plan of action, I encourage you to not only focus on your business tasks and daily operations but be aware of your current mindset.
It’s important that no matter what obstacles may come your way, you believe in yourself and know you will get through. One of the quotes I remind my children of regularly is “what you speak/think about you bring about” – if you think you can’t…you won’t.
Let this year, be a year of great abundance in your business and your life! Believe in your heart that YOU CAN achieve all that you set your mind to!
By CEOMamma, on December 29th, 2010% My intentions were to NOT write another blog post until 2011 but having some time on my hands has allowed me to reflect back not only on my business but over my personal life as well.
As I look back upon the hurdles and trials I have endured this past year, I’m able to appreciate what those experiences have taught me, how they’ve allowed me to grow and have influenced my decisions to make some uncomfortable, yet extremely beneficial changes to help me get to where I want to be.
That is why I’m writing this post.
