Jill Scott told us, in song, how she was “living my life like its golden” and all womanhood took notice. We were reminded to take into account our own lives and act accordingly. A young woman stepped out and issued a bold statement for progress in the woman revolution as we collectively began embracing our woman power and implementing a call to action plan that makes up our DNA. For many women, this song unknowingly began a journey of a re-awakening to their truth and the realization that we were more than skin, bones and cartilage.
There would be no more time for procrastinating, show boating and allowing others to control our destiny. Women are not followers, as much as we are leaders, doers and shakers. To have a successful and sustainable business, you must plan your action, heed the call and make your voice heard in how you live life, market your brand and run your race. To be successful at anything in life, you’re going to fall- get over it already! Formulate your entrepreneurial game plan and stay competitive with the competition. Don’t let setbacks deter you from your goal of achieving your dream.
“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”- Confucius
Apply sticky notes to your game plan. Arm yourself with patience, due diligence, humility, fortitude and persistence. Dress yourself in that coat of armor we know as faith, and keep going. You will succeed. Recently in the warmth of a season’s change, I suddenly experienced a summer storm. This experience threw my confidence off and caused negatives to enter my personal realm of peace.
Change is hard, but, it’s not an uncommon or foreign entity. It’s one of those life truisms that remain a constant. I’m reminded of a spiritual I loved to hear as a child (many moons ago) that totally sums up our strengths and endurance in difficult times. “Through it all, through it all, I’ve learned to trust in Jesus…I’ve learned to trust in God.” Don’t give up on your passion and what you know to be your truth- no matter how many times you have to adjust your call to action steps. Also remember that prayer without works is dead.
Your business is an extension of you. Own your entrepreneurial self. Brand your business via ebooks, seminars, webinars, infomercials, informational tools and other products that are an extension of you. “From steps to ladders to bridges” You have arrived!

Thank you, Clara, for this very important reminder. I was just telling myself this morning “to stop taking certain Blessings for granted”. I think I’ll start saying “my business is golden”. Clara, your imagery is very effective.
