Women Entrepreneurs: What Can TheCEOMamma Do For You?

In recent weeks, I have been taking some time and looking back over the growth of this blog and my business. Since December 24th is creeping up quit swiftly and will make TheCEOMamma officially 1 year old, I’m actually amazed and pleased at how it has taken off.

To be honest, I never imagined that in less than 1 year, this blog would be what it is today. When I started, I was fairly new to blogging and built TheCEOMamma strictly off of a vision, a dream and Faith!

Within 6 months of launching, I began to receive emails almost daily from amazing women who share the same visions for their own businesses and held passions similar to mine, requesting my help. I started getting requests for interviews, guest speaking engagements and other requests to share my expertise with other network circles…how cool is that!

Don’t Get Offended But…You Will Never Be Like Me

My sincerest apologizes, but seriously…

You will never be like ME.

You will never be able to do things like ME.

You will never blog like ME.

You will never build a business like ME.

You will never connect with people like ME

Because YOU are not ME!!!

Now, before you get all bent out of shape for being too harsh, give me a minute to explain.

I don’t consider myself to be an “Expert Blogger” or a “Know-it-All Social Media Maven”, even though at times, others have told me I am. In fact, I’m just a mom who had a strong and unquenchable desire to own her own business and be able to work from home.

TheCEOMamma News and Updates

After some well needed time off, I’m happy to announce that TheCEOMamma will be back in full swing the beginning of next week! As many of you may already know, I am expecting my sixth child (a baby girl) in February and very excited. I had experienced much discomfort (to say the least) during my first trimester but happy to report I am feeling 90% better!

Over the past weeks, I have been able to truly reflect on and regroup while being grateful knowing that I have created the type of freedom I deserve in choosing to be an entrepreneur and working for myself. Even when I’m unable or taking a break from “working” my business for a period of time, my business is still working for me! Isn’t that a wonderful thing? Have you found that to be true for your business?

Women Entrepreneurs: Tips for a Prosperous (and Sane!) Business

Author: Michele DeKinder-Smith

Chances are, people who are in business for themselves view financial freedom as a motivating factor for venturing out on their own. Money in the bank—time off for friends, family and travel—and even a luxurious lifestyle can all be part of the vision that entrepreneurs have when they set off to build a business. But according to the latest research, when it comes to women entrepreneurs, financial prosperity isn’t the only carrot: the desire for “greater work-life balance” is also a primary motivating factor.

It’s Not Procrastination, It’s Fear of Rejection (Get Past It and Get Marketing)

Guest Post By: Fabienne Fredrickson

Have you ever been stopped in your marketing tracks because of procrastination and didn’t know where it was coming from? This happened a few times with some of my private clients recently, and we noticed that every time, it wasn’t really procrastination, it was a fear of some sort that was holding them back.

Perhaps you’ve experienced it too? The fear of reaching out to people, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of not doing something right, and the kicker, fear of REJECTION? I don’t think I know anyone who’s not experienced some form of fear of rejection when marketing themselves. I think it’s innate for many of us. Problem is, it holds us back from doing what it takes to get clients. And it’s got to stop.

Forming Strategic Partnerships for Your Small Business

Successful small business owners and entrepreneurs have learned that having a solid and profitable business, first starts with a strong structural foundation. Smart entrepreneurs realize that forming strategic partnerships is a contributing factor to their overall long term success.

What exactly is a strategic alliance?

Strategic alliances are practical arrangements between two or more entities which are created to achieve mutual goals through collaboration. It is a way to connect with others and work together to reach a common goal while still maintaining individuality.

You can look at a strategic partnerships as a way of developing a team effort allowing all parties involved to reap the rewards and benefits. This type of alliance is simply a business-to-business collaboration. A strategic alliance can often be established more formally as a joint venture or partnership.

Turning Restless Thoughts into Relentless Action

Have you ever laid in bed at night and tossed and turned because you had so many ideas on your mind that they prevented you from sleeping? You know, those tugging thoughts that are so strong they provoke restlessness and refuse to go away until you have to get up and write them down. I know I’m not the only one who experiences this, right?

I call them restless thoughts. They are the things on your mind that attack you at night and refuse to let you go to sleep until you finally give in to their dire need of attention.

Article Writing Tips to Increase Your Productivity

Evelyn Bourne article on TheCEOMamma BlogWith all of the other things that demand your attention, sometimes the task of writing falls by the wayside. But if you are relying on article marketing to bring targeted traffic to your web site, then your goal should be to write at least one article each day. That might sound like a daunting task, because if you do not have a high volume of articles published in article directories, then you have not seen the kind of traffic and exposure they can bring you. The return on your article writing and submitting efforts can be delayed by thirty days or more, but you must continue to crank out those articles and take it on faith that they will be working for you for months and years to come.

5 Tips for Effective Time Management and Business Productivity

Recently, I had the privilege and honor of being the guest speaker for the Women on the Move Teleconference founded by Stylicia Bowden, in which I spoke on the topic of Time Management and Business Productivity. I received such great feedback that I decided to write this blog post to share on the topic.

Time Management Mind Map

Early on into building my first business, I quickly learned how important it was to be organized with managing my time and I started a system for myself based on how quickly and effectively I needed to get things done, not only in my business but with my family as well. Because for me, at the end of the day, I’m mom first and the reason I made the choice to start a business was so that I could always be available to my family and for my children.
