TheCEOMamma News and Updates

After some well needed time off, I’m happy to announce that TheCEOMamma will be back in full swing the beginning of next week! As many of you may already know, I am expecting my sixth child (a baby girl) in February and very excited. I had experienced much discomfort (to say the least) during my first trimester but happy to report I am feeling 90% better!

Over the past weeks, I have been able to truly reflect on and regroup while being grateful knowing that I have created the type of freedom I deserve in choosing to be an entrepreneur and working for myself. Even when I’m unable or taking a break from “working” my business for a period of time, my business is still working for me! Isn’t that a wonderful thing? Have you found that to be true for your business?

Creating a Community Around Your Business

Creating a Community Around Your BusinessHave you ever wondered how you could build a community around your business? It would be nice to have a bunch of people who willingly come together and share their thoughts and opinions about your business, wouldn’t it? Before you think it’s impossible to create such an environment around your company, let me explain.

A community can be defined as a group of people sharing the same interests and ideas. That’s what makes social media so amazing because it allows people from all over the world to come together online and communicate with each other about the common interests they all share.

How to Create Connections to Expand Your Social Media

Let’s be honest, we ALL want a ton of loyal followers and raving fans chasing after us online helping us expand our business, right? Wouldn’t it be great to wake up each morning to find that over night, a flood of new people joined your fan page or your twitter account had a sudden rush of new followers? I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say that this is the exact feeling most entrepreneurs would love to experience (myself included).

Even if you spend a large amount of time on social networking each day you still may not be getting the kind of followers and fans you want. The reason could be a few things but the main one could be your just not creating the right connections.

Guest Post By: Treshad Washington (My Son) In regards to Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day!

Hi my name is Tre and today I stayed home with my mom for take your kids to work day. Today I learned how my mom builds her business on facebook and twitter by making friends and talking to them. Every day she checks her stats on her blog and on hootsuite to find out how she gets traffic. She runs a Facebook fan page and shares inspirational quotes, blog post,  and other information. She talks on the phone with people who want to learn how to start a business, and it’s called coaching.

Facebook – Are You Spamming Your Friends?

This morning I read a great post written by one of my Facebook Friends, Felisa Williams. She wrote an article accompanied by a video, regarding spamming on Facebook. As we all are aware, Facebook is a social network designed for connecting or reconnecting with friends and family and to also meet new people and build new relationships.

As Facebook continues to grow and lead highly in popularity, more and more entrepreneurs and network marketers have found this platform to be a great way to build their business. I can agree with them in this regard, I too have had great success in connecting and creating partnerships with some amazing women in business.

Post Author: Joan Curtis

What is the value of Facebook over Twitter? Is there a difference? When do you use one or the other or both? The ultimate decision about which social network to use lies with your company culture, goals and target customer. Nonetheless, it’s important to recognize that you cannot choose “none of the above” if you want to survive the new digital economy. Therefore, the question is which do we choose and how do we begin?

This article will help you begin to distinguish between the value of Facebook for business and the value of Twitter for business.

Are You a FAN of Facebook Fan Pages?

If not, allow me share with you why you should be. Facebook Fan Pages are quickly becoming the small business owners vehicle to actively connect with and get to know their market. What does that mean for your business? Well, it means a few great things you should know.

Creating a Fan Page for your business will give your audience a convenient way to learn more information about your business in general, the services you offer and even product promotions. It also creates a community of fans who are able to interact with your brand, ask questions and share feedback.

How to Get Targeted Traffic to Your Blog

Whether you are brand new to blogging or already have an existing blog online and you want to get targeted traffic, I suggest you have what I like to call, a Blogging Plan of Action. It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant, just a simple plan to help you focus on your specific blogging goals.

For instance, my Plan of Action for this blog simply states what my main blogging content is about, who my audience is (the people who are interested in reading my blog), how many times per week I will post and how I plan to “spread the word” when I have a new post to share.

Here are a few key tips to help you implement these strategies into your blogging.
