WHY? Because this is an issue I’m seeing entirely to much and it is time for the women who are experiencing lack in their business to take a look at what could be the problem and take the steps to correct it.
What gives me the right? Well, because I’ve been there. Early on in my online entrepreneurial journey, I was a self proclaimed “Women Entrepreneur” for a long time, not making any money.
I thought entering the World Wide Web would bring me almost instant success (I said almost, because I knew I wasn’t going to become rich over night…but sure it was going to be soon after)

When you chose the road less traveled, the path of entrepreneurship, you may find yourself being faced with many roadblocks and difficult situations that can literally stop you dead in your tracks.
Especially if you are pursuing your entrepreneurial dream full time, like me. You will have to work three times as hard as the average person and learn to be resilient in the face of adversity.
It doesn’t matter who you are or what your background is…
You are going to experience negativity in your daily business life, on top of whatever is going on in your personal life. This is one reason why everyone is not designed to be an entrepreneur. Being women, we often have a hard time putting our emotions and feelings in check and allow outside distractions to interfere with the operation of our business.
Over this past weekend, I enjoyed some rest and relaxation, hung out with my kiddos and got caught up on some moving watching. As I thought about what genre I was in the mood for, I decided to go with a comedy and watched I Love You, Man.
If you’ve never seen it, it’s basically about a guy named Peter who gets engaged to his girlfriend and realizes he doesn’t have any close male friends to be the Best Man at his wedding. He decides to “find” a new friend…long story short, he meets a guy named Sydney who is a laid back, very charismatic kind of guy with whom he ends up bonding and forming some sort of “Bro-mance”.
It’s 2011, day one…a new beginning and fresh start for your business! As you begin implementing your plan of action, I encourage you to not only focus on your business tasks and daily operations but be aware of your current mindset.
It’s important that no matter what obstacles may come your way, you believe in yourself and know you will get through. One of the quotes I remind my children of regularly is “what you speak/think about you bring about” – if you think you can’t…you won’t.
Let this year, be a year of great abundance in your business and your life! Believe in your heart that YOU CAN achieve all that you set your mind to!
Do you remember that feeling you had when you first decided to start your business? The feeling of excitement, the thoughts of finally having the freedom you deserve and the ability to now be able to express yourself and allow your creative juices to flow with no restrictions. Starting your business meant you were ready to take control of your destiny and financial future…simple right?
I remember those feelings…but is it really that simple?
After a few months in, you begin to realize it takes a lot more work and effort then you originally anticipated to get your business generating real profit. Next thing you know, fear of failure creeps in and you begin to doubt your ability to succeed.
Where you are right now is where you have chosen to be.
Take a moment to think about that. Depending on where you are, this may feel amazing, but it might not feel so great.
Your mindset is an incredibly important part of the business building game. Moreover, it is directly related to the impact that you’re going to have in this world.
There are five basic questions you must ask yourself when building a business or looking to take an existing business to the next level. These are all related to mindset.
1.)Are you afraid of “messing up”? In other words, are you waiting to take action because you don’t want to fail?
Since the beginning of this year, many of you know, I have been actively and passionately building TheCEOMamma Network. In this short period of time, I never imagined it would have grown as much as it has. It gives me such an amazing feeling to know that this all started from a vision I had to help and inspire women entrepreneurs to be all they can be and create a powerful community where we can connect, network, share and learn from each other.
Have you ever been stopped in your marketing tracks because of procrastination and didn’t know where it was coming from? This happened a few times with some of my private clients recently, and we noticed that every time, it wasn’t really procrastination, it was a fear of some sort that was holding them back.
Perhaps you’ve experienced it too? The fear of reaching out to people, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of not doing something right, and the kicker, fear of REJECTION? I don’t think I know anyone who’s not experienced some form of fear of rejection when marketing themselves. I think it’s innate for many of us. Problem is, it holds us back from doing what it takes to get clients. And it’s got to stop.
A new year, a new decade even is upon us. This is the time when most of us set goals and make resolutions to improve our lives. It also brings to mind the question, What is Holding You Back From Being Successful?
It appears the number one enemy that keeps people from fulfilling their dreams is Fear. This is an emotional response that serves its purpose. For instance fear is what keeps us away from dangerous situations; you don’t walk on the edge of jagged cliff for fear of falling off the side and causing bodily harm. Rightly so fear does help us, but if we let it, fear can also hinder us. Our personal fears such as fear of failure is what holds us back from making our dreams come true. It doesn’t have to be that way though.
