By CEOMamma, on September 17th, 2010% After some well needed time off, I’m happy to announce that TheCEOMamma will be back in full swing the beginning of next week! As many of you may already know, I am expecting my sixth child (a baby girl) in February and very excited. I had experienced much discomfort (to say the least) during my first trimester but happy to report I am feeling 90% better!
Over the past weeks, I have been able to truly reflect on and regroup while being grateful knowing that I have created the type of freedom I deserve in choosing to be an entrepreneur and working for myself. Even when I’m unable or taking a break from “working” my business for a period of time, my business is still working for me! Isn’t that a wonderful thing? Have you found that to be true for your business?

By CEOMamma, on May 21st, 2010% How many times are we asked that question? How many times do we stumble over the response? Let’s see. . . I provide financial services to seniors. . . or I’m a research analyst at the university. As a coach the main problem I encounter with my clients is coming to grips with what they do and why they do it.
Most of us know what we do but to say it in a way that engages people is another thing entirely. It’s rare that I meet someone at a networking event who says what he or she does in a way that engages me. Usually I have to figure out how to get engaged with the person. Or worse still, after they say what they do, it falls flat. I’m not sure what to say next. In contrast our goal should be to tell people what we do quickly in order to peak their interest and engage them in a conversation.
