As women entrepreneurs with high hopes and vision, we often start off with with an unstoppable drive and determination to make our new business work.
Many of us stay up for hours, day after day doing all we think we should do to get the business up and running and start bringing in money.
We spend time finding the best tools and services and get it in our heads that if we just work hard at getting all this online business stuff setup right, we can finally quit the day job or at last, bring home our kids who have grown accustomed to daycare.
Within us lies this deep desire to pursue our passion and live our dream!
By Andrea Bolder, on February 28th, 2012% We all want our businesses to grow and to be profitable. I know I do. But when you are one among many and a newbie among vets, getting seen and heard is more than a notion.
It is getting more and more difficult to make an impact online, particularly in industries that are saturated with tons of quality content and top notch entrepreneurs.
But it never fails – a few online marketers bust onto the scene, claiming their spots amongst the greats while establishing themselves as an authority to be reckoned with.
How do they do it? How can a novice – with no special skills or super human powers – rise to the top so quickly?
By CEOMamma, on February 1st, 2012% What does it mean to be an expert in a particular niche? What are people looking for in an ‘expert’? When people start looking for an expert in a particular field, they are looking for valuable information. Information that is valuable to them. They want to be taught something that they do not know.
Why do you want to be viewed as an expert within your niche? Expert status is a tool to increase the number of people who patronize your business. Creating expert status may be the missing step in taking your business to the next level.
So how do you become an expert within your niche?
1. VALUE WHAT YOU KNOW
By CEOMamma, on September 9th, 2011% If you are serious about building your online business quickly, the very first thing you need to do is identify your Niche Market and really get to know who they are.
Unfortunately, I had to learn this the hard way because like many new business owners, I was mislead into believing the entire World Wide Web was like “open season” and had no limitations to how freely I could market my business. Of course, this is true…to a certain degree.
YES, you are free to establish your business online however you want, NO, there aren’t any restrictions in the manner in which you choose to market yourself and by no means do you have to target any particular niche market at all.

Don’t get it confused, it is easy to start a business but to really grow and develop a profitable and thriving business…that’s a whole other ball game!
What entrepreneurs and small business owners need to understand is that effective, persistent and consistent Marketing is what will sustain business success.
I came across this quote a couple of days ago and it inspired me to write this post -

To attract clients consistently and with little effort, your marketing message must be clear and it must stand out. There’s no way around it. If what you say about your business and what prospects read about it isn’t sounding irresistible to them, they’ll move on to the next person. Guaranteed.
So, your task is to stand out from the pack and to make prospects really stand up and listen to what you have to offer. In my opinion, standing out from the pack is easiest if you have an expertise or a niche. (But you knew that already.) So, what’s stopping you? Well, after having worked with thousands of people on this issue, I’ve come up with 2 reasons why most people don’t niche:

If you’re interested in capturing more prospects and growing your small business on a shoestring budget, you must have a brilliant marketing message (a concise statement that explains the purpose of your small business to your ideal clients and customers).
The main reason why a marketing message is such a powerful component of your small business is that it forces you to become extraordinarily clear about what you do. Believe it or not, most small business owners do a “little of this” and “a little of that” and aren’t able to effectively articulate what business they are in.
