By Tyjuana Wilson, on May 7th, 2012% I’ve only been freelancing, officially, since last year. For years I have been known as the go-to gal for writing, from bosses who’d let me edit a letter or design a newsletter — in which I could only work on “when I’m not working”, to family members who needed, shall we say, assistance with their college papers.
I had always wanted to be a writer, but always needed a “job”, so I focused on working. It was safe and secure. Are you laughing, too?

Can we talk? I want you to imagine I am sitting right next you.
I’m sitting at my computer right now allowing my heart and soul to reach out to you via this medium online. I am here 100%.
So let’s get real, OK?
How’s your social media marketing REALLY going? Are you building communities that resonate with you? Do you engage frequently with your communities on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube? Are you posting compelling info to create interaction?
Are you allowing the REAL you to show up through your postings?
Or are you hiding behind the computer hesitant to post something in fear it may come across not appropriate? Are you afraid of being “seen” in the wrong way?

If you are anything like me, you understand the huge benefit of using social media to build your business.
Like me, you also know that your time is extremely valuable and you have absolutely NO intention of spending your days marketing on social networks hour upon hour either…am I right?
If you’ve been with me for any amount of time, you know I keep it no secret that HootSuite is my absolute favorite social media tool and absolutely LOVE the amount of time it saves me.
If you are unfamiliar with HootSuite, it is a social media dashboard that allows you to connect with multiple social networks all from one place. Your able to easily manage and schedule different marketing messages to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, WordPress and more all for FREE!
By Sylvia Browder, on August 24th, 2011% Recently, a friend told me about a negative incident she had while dining at a large restaurant chain. Her waitress was very rude and inattentive. By the time her meal arrived, her colleague had finished eating. The last straw was realizing her steak was prepared wrong. Angrily, she took out her I Phone and sent out a tweet to her followers about her experience. Minutes later, she received an apology from the restaurant’s general manager; the cost of her meal was waived; and she was given a $100 gift certificate for a future visit. Imagine if that restaurant chain didn’t have a social media presence? What you don’t know can harm you!
By CEOMamma, on August 8th, 2011% When Google launched the Google+ project, I couldn’t wait to jump on board. I’m a huge fan of Google and thoroughly enjoy many of their services. It was when I discovered that only a limited amount of invites were being given out as a “trial” (and I wasn’t one), that I began to think…do I really need to be a part of yet another social network community?
So, what’s the big deal about Google plus? Well basically, it is another social network, but what makes it so intriguing (other than you can’t get in unless your invited)…it’s by GOOGLE!!!
By CEOMamma, on July 20th, 2011% Although there are many wonderful online network communities for women entrepreneurs, there is one that has, and continues to make a huge impact in the life of my business: Black Business Women Online created by successful work at home mom and web entrepreneur, LaShanda Henry.

By CEOMamma, on July 18th, 2011% Building an online business using primarily Social Media, has been the most effective way for me to establish my brand, generate qualified leads and increase sales, all while investing next to nothing, excluding my time.
Although Social Media Marketing is an easy way to gain exposure for your business, there are still rules and procedures that need to be adopted to assure a productive marketing experience.
I have compiled a list of my top posts in 3 sections, to help you understand and grasp the concept of marketing your business online using social media.

By CEOMamma, on June 13th, 2011% Since more small business owners are starting to see the value of having a Facebook Fan Page for their business, there seems to still be many who find it difficult to effectively use it to grow their business.
During our recent Twitter Party, one of our topic discussions was - How to better engage Facebook Fans. What many of the ladies shared was that they weren’t sure how to create interactions and entice participation with their fans.
What I shared was that your Fan Page is a community. Think of your community (Fan Page) as a way for people to come together in one place. Take it a step further and recognize that they are there to “discuss, share and learn”, about a particular topic of interest to THEM.
