Tell us about yourself and your business: I am small web design company and design web sites for small businesses that are looking to advertise their goods and services online. I also create packages that will fit their budget.
What inspired you to start a business? I love to design and wanted to be able to design websites that customers wouldn’t have to pay an arm and leg for.
What is your favorite quote or saying? The only way to bring customers to your website is to advertise.
What is one business goal for this year? My goal is to be more successful.

A client recently asked me ‘how would she know when she was finally successful.’ I explained that success means different things to each of us. To achieve success, you must define what it signifies. Success is a journey! As we sail through life, we encounter many obstacles along the way. Imagine yourself sailing the high seas; navigating your ship as it sails through calm waters. At times, it will buck in storms. If you are determined to stay the course, you must periodically adjust your navigational instruments and adjust when problems arise.
As you continue your journey, envision the serene, tranquil and calm blue water with sea gulls flying above, a light house in the far distance and several boats sailing calmly with the waves; here are 4 ways to navigate to your port of dreams!

I was truly inspired by the story of a 100 year old man, Fauja Singh, who after 8 hours of running, made it to the finish line at the Toronto Marathon. Though he finished last, he was determined, thus, earning a spot in the Guinness World Records. After finishing the article, I thought about the similarities of preparing for a marathon to that of running a business.
As a woman in business with many responsibilities, here are 3 tips to help you to the finish line:
Stay Dedicated… it’s Key
As a marathon runner, a daily workout routine is imperative to condition your body. This includes training early or late; maintaining a well-balanced and strict diet; and making adjustments in your routine to ensure your success.

I have to talk about this and it saddens me that not only do many women have to deal with haters in their personal lives, but in their business as well.
Now of course, I’m not talking about you because you are one of my fabulously, phenomenal readers! No, I’m talking about the experiences that some of the amazing women in my circle, have to face almost daily in their business.
You may consider this post a bit of a vent because quit frankly, I don’t understand it.
You are the woman who is doing her “thang”, taking care of business. You work hard everyday to achieve your goals and create a legacy….and then, it happens.

Determining how you will market your online business can be a challenge when your funds are limited or even, non-existent. It’s helpful when you have access to the necessary tools needed to run your business on a day-to-day basis and even better, when those tools are free!
When I first started my online business, I had no savings and no money to invest in marketing. I was however, determined to make my business work so I began to search for free alternatives. A few of the resources and tools I found are still tools that I use now in my business and allow me to keep more of my profit in my pocket.

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day and I wanted to take a moment today, to acknowledge and recognize all TheCEOMamma’s who are truly MOMs. With that being said, I’m honoring those of you who may not be natural moms, but are the driving force in the lives of others.
Maybe you are a Grandma who stepped to the plate to raise the children of your own child…we honor you!
Perhaps your an Auntie who opened your home to tend to your young niece or nephew…we honor you!
If you stand in the gap as God Mother and are nurturing the child of a best friend…we honor you!
